Parent Occupational Therapy Testimonials
“My wife and I have known Carol for 4 years and hold her in the highest regards. As a therapist for our sons, nothing is more important to us in a person than character, honesty and professionalism and Carol excels in all of these. We have seen Carol interact with children, parents and educators on multiple occasions and we cannot overstate how highly everyone thinks of her and how respected she is by people within her community. Carol is sharp, thoughtful, dedicated and meticulous. She is always polite, patient and extremely warm and caring. The children she treats, including our sons, simply adore her and parents like ourselves have the utmost respect and trust for her. Carol is precisely the kind of person you want to treat your child.”

“Carol worked with my daughter for well over a year. Each time Carol walked through the door she brought with her tremendous energy and enthusiasm as well as a bag of games and toys. My daughter truly learned and practiced her fine motor skills through play. The sessions were carefully orchestrated to be fun and engaging as well as focused on key skills. Carol is highly professional and exceedingly knowledgeable about her field. I particularly appreciated that she always offered suggestions of activities that I could do with my daughter that would help her practice her new skills. I am also enormously grateful that Carol worked on skills even before they were expected to be present. That is, she helped my daughter gain confidence with her pencil grip well before she was expected to write her letters. Similarly she worked with my daughter on her use of a fork and knife well before she was expected to eat with proper table manners. In this way she helped my daughter develop good fine motor habits, which made acquisition of skills easier.”

“My two sons worked with Carol for approximately 3 years, each from age 4 to 7 years old, on both everyday functions such as tying shoelaces, buttons and pencil grip as well as skills such as jumping, throwing and balance. The boys were always excited to see Carol – her UWS space is like an indoor playground, with swings, balls and beanbags and she would often play games with them while working on certain muscle movement. Carol developed a custom approach for each child’s specific needs, even recommending helpful tools to use at home and advising on the benefits of particular afterschool activities. As a provider, she is aware of insurance issues, and is accessible for progress updates with her client families. Several years later my boys may not be the class athletes, but they excel in the school environment and function indistinguishable from their peers.”

“Carol was amazing with our daughter Peyton and we are so thankful for her support with our daughter’s needs. We have been to several Occupational Therapists and Carol is the best! Peyton is a slow to warm up child and Carol made her feel so comfortable. Carol knew when to push her and when not too. She helped change our daughter’s path in life with fine motor skills, motor planning and academic challenges. We will be forever grateful!”

“Carol is a highly respected Occupational Therapist. I was referred to her three years ago and since then have established a very close relationship with her as she has worked with my children to help them develop their skills and strengths.
Carol creates a specific plan for each of my children to ensure that their individual needs are met. She keeps my children moving forward and meeting their goals. She is honest and thoughtful when providing feedback.
My children have a great time when working with Carol and love the games and activities she offers. They feel very comfortable with her and even open up to her, telling stories about school, friends and home life.
Carol is professional at all times and respects the privacy of her clients. I trust her completely with my children.”

Colleague Testimonials
“As a classroom teacher, I have had the great pleasure of working in collaboration with Carol in a therapeutic nursery school setting. Carol has shown aptitude for working with children with a range of developmental delays in appropriate and individualized ways. She has a wealth of knowledge and thoughtful insight, and has been a great resource for strategies to implement with children in the classroom. Not only does she offer strategies that carry over from her work in the gym, she also takes the time to observe various classroom behaviors in order to offer targeted support. Carol is an active participant in weekly team meetings, where she provides feedback regarding her individual work with the children, as well as collaborates with the team to determine treatment strategies. She demonstrates a keen awareness of the cross-disciplinary connections between the work that she carries out in the OT gym and the work of her fellow clinicians. Her knowledge and skills make her an asset to our team and I am very fortunate to work with her.”

“It was my pleasure to first meet Carol when I was her supervisor in a rigorous psychiatric setting as she was completing her clinical work as an O.T. student. During that time she demonstrated her ability to be resourceful and independent. Included in her many amazing qualities, she exhibited keen insight, intelligence and ability to quickly and comfortably form strong interpersonal relationships with the staff and patient population. The staff and patients held her in high regard.
It is again my pleasure to work with Carol at the Child Development Center (CDC), a wonderful pre-school special education setting in N.Y.C. As the occupational therapist (O.T.) on one of the classroom teams, she once again has shown her ability to quickly form strong and beautiful relationships with the children, their parents and the other professionals on the team. This allows her to provide beneficial, thoughtful and thorough O.T. treatment that is complemented by her warmth and joyful spirit and allows the children to immediately attach and connect to the work together.
Carol is an asset to any treatment setting; the children and families with whom she works will have a wonderful and rich experience.”
